What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Related technologies — local storage, session storage, pixels and software development kits — do comparable things by different means. Where this policy says cookies, it means all of them.

Platforms we operate
Where we build or operate a platform, an application or a portal — whether for our own use or on a client's behalf — that system may need strictly necessary cookies to work at all. Examples include, without limitation, keeping you signed in across pages and protecting a form against cross-site request forgery. These serve the function you asked for; they do not track you elsewhere.
Where we operate such a platform for a client, the client decides what is set beyond the strictly necessary and is responsible for the notice given to their own users. We implement what has been agreed and will say so if a request would require consent that has not been obtained.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and offers a private browsing mode that discards them at the end of a session. Blocking strictly necessary cookies on a platform that relies on them will prevent it from working; blocking every other category will not affect your use of our public website, because it does not set any.
Changes
Because this policy states a specific current position rather than a generic one, it is reviewed whenever we change what our websites load. If we introduce analytics or any non-essential technology, this page will be updated before that change goes live, not after.
